Gloria Rovder Healy's Poetry

I'll Be there

Look for me
When tides are high
And gulls are gliding overhead.

Look for me
When autumn winds sweep cloudy skies
And one by one each leaf is shed.

Look for me
When sycamores are bare
And starts glow in wintry nights.

Look for me
When morning mist hangs heavy in the air
And slowly, darker days pass by
I am there
Where the Shrewsbury flows
And catfish leap to a silver moon.
I am there
Where crickets sing
And sea grass dances on lonely dunes
I am there
in the tiny town square
in the A&P where neighbors meet.
I am there
In the quiet church
I'm by the brook in my backyard.
Though I am the friend
you can no longer see
All I ask is look for me.
I'll be there
